Admission to our museum is already free, but we participate in the Blue Star Museums program as a way to say “thank you” to military familie
Active military personnel and their families can visit the Jones Museum for free from May 16 (Armed Forces Day) through September 7 (Labor Day). We appreciate your service and can’t wait for you to visit.
Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of Defense and participating museums across America. During the summer months, free admission is available to currently serving military personnel and their families, including those in the National Guard and Reserve.
Individuals will present their military ID card at the front desk to receive free admission. The 2026 program begins on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 16, 2026, and ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026.
Armed Forces Day was established in 1949 for citizens to come together and thank military members for their patriotic service.
The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military— Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force, including members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members.
